WORLD ART DUBAI- AN EXPERIENCE I'LL NEVER FORGET!

When it comes to art, there is always something new to learn. Art events and exhibitions play a vital role since they allow us to interact with new artists, intellectuals, and discover new perspectives. THE WORLD ART DUBAI is a catalyst for homegrown talent to gain exposure, with internationally renowned artists showcasing their work, sharing knowledge, educating and inspiring the community. It was an unparalleled opportunity to experience a global diversity of artworks from 50 nations all under one roof.

I am grateful to be a part of World Art Dubai 2022 which was in collaboration with Art Smiley, an online art marketplace and gallery. Being a part of WAD 2022, I would like to share my experience and insights. The theme was ‘UNPLUG YOURSELF’ which sought to promote and enhance creative thinking and emotional exploration, allowing guests to engage in mind-opening experiences.

To begin with, displaying our work boosts our confidence and leads to increased self-esteem. Appreciation is a necessary source of energy for all artists, since it motivates them to strive for greater success every day. Despite the fact that I only had two drawings on display, many came to look at the effort I had put in. Visitors would admire the attention to detail and the care required to make the drawings. Furthermore, participating artists would show up to applaud the work.

Art is a manifestation of one's emotions and profound feelings. Art exhibitions are excellent venues for expressing these feelings. It is a fantastic place for artists to learn how to convey their work not just through drawings or paintings, but also through words. Every brain is hardwired differently, as is every thought process. Similarly, each person feels and communicates in a unique way through emotion. As a result, how one perceives an artwork may differ from how another perceives it. This is a challenge for the artist and it is thus essential that the artist exhibits and shows his art in each media in such a manner that the audience may easily interact with the art and have a soulful experience.

I'd also want to mention what I've learned from other artists as well. Om Thadkar's magnificent hyper realistic charcoal works made me realize the importance of large scale drawings, Meetu's art taught me the importance of values and contrast, and finally, meeting Kristel Bechara and observing her style taught me that every artist should have their own distinct style for which they are remembered.
